THE REASON FOR THE VISION QUEST WAS TO INVESTIGATE A SPONTANEOUS VISION

THAT OCCURRED TO LANCE CARLYLE CARTER ON SEPTEMBER 1, 1999 WHILE HE WAS

WATCHING A DOCUMENTARY TELEVISION SHOW THAT PRESENTED A WOMAN HAVING

ACTUAL VISIONS OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN IN SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA. BEING CURIOUS,

LANCE HAD A VISION WHEN HE TRIED TO SEE WHAT THE WOMAN PRAYING WAS SEEING.

"I SAW THE VIRGIN IN LIGHT AND FELT GREAT LOVE AND COMPASSION.

THEN A VERY TERRIBLE VISION OCCURRED TO ME, SOMETHING I WASN’T READY TO SEE.

I PUT MY HANDS OVER MY FACE AND RAN FROM THE TELEVISION TO STOP THE VISION.

I TOLD SOME FRIENDS THAT I BELIEVED THAT THERE MIGHT BE SOMETHING REAL HAPPENING

DOWN IN SANTA MARIA. THOSE FRIENDS WANTED TO TAKE ME TO SANTA MARIA, BUT IT WAS

TOO FAR SO THEY TOOK ME ON THE VISION QUEST FEATURED IN THE VIDEO." – Lance Carter

Notes:

The saints may have been primarily prepared to minister to Catholic believers, because of the multitude of Catholic Christian references. People from that area are devout Catholics who wouldn’t question because of their upbringing in the Church. In the vision the saints usually only talk for a few minutes and then leave me. It was all very beautiful to me while it was happening although I seemed to be in a lot of pain. It appeared to be painful because of the physical manifestation of it. You could see my body in involuntary motion, usually when I was in prayer.

My whole body trembled before each one of the visions occurred. I laugh when watching the video, but other people get concerned. All of a sudden I’m in a different state of mind. I had come to this place to have the first vision unfold. (The first vision is the one that I had refused to see the first time, which had occurred the evening of September first.)

When I first went to the Pinto Lake shrine, I said a prayer and then went out to the boardwalk on the water behind the shrine. Moments after stopping on the boardwalk, the visions started. I wasn’t in prayer at the time the visions started. I was just standing up leaning my back on the rail and looking toward the trees in the general direction of the back of the shrine. The shrine was to my right.

Female religious figures such as female saints and the Blessed Mother appear in my visions. These visions started occurring while I looked in the general direction of the backside of the altar at Pinto Lake. The muscular contractions appear to be limited of local areas at the extremities at the thighs and shoulders and only seem to occur when a being is either entering in communication with me or breaking off communication. (The contractions are limited to a portion of the body and I don’t lose consciousness.) Characteristics of my visionary state of mind include psychic intuitions or telepathic communications from the main figures in the visions such as the saints, etc. At times I may hear a voice from the visionary figure and I will repeat what I hear. If the message isn’t in words, I try to report what the feeling is. I don’t seem to have any idea when these visions will occur, but they are usually preceded by muscular contractions.

Emotional sensations also occur spontaneously while witnessing various visions. The first moments of the video show me experiencing a subjective sensation – an aura – and then my voice slows down a little. Then I have the religious visions that are complex hallucinations and sensory illusions. Some of the thoughts that I quote seem to do with the Catholic dogma, such as having many children. The blessed Mother also said that she and the Lord will save humanity and travel with us through the stars. The Ascension is described as a harvest of worlds, not of beings or souls. Some of the messages seemed to be for Lance Carter only. Notice that at points the being speaking says that she is going to ride upon the water to minister to others. Other saints appear at different points in the vision, dressed differently. (Note: Lance was not raised as a Catholic and did not recognize the figures other than as traditional Catholic female saints.)

As the original aim of this vision quest was for Lance Carter to see the vision that he had blocked, but in the transcription, that vision is addressed as "Too terrible." Hoping to see the complete vision in the company of friends, I tried to lie on my back to better concentrate, but after composing myself I saw what looked like an object about 8 to 18 inches from my face.

You see me pointing to an object that I describe in the video. That was the most interesting and frightening part of the experience. It was a point of yellow light that looked about the size of pinhead and then there was a dark ring around that, that looked about the distance that the edges of a quarter would be out from it. It was dark ring with kind of a web coming out it that formed a cone that reached to the ground around my head area, encasing me. It was like being inside a dark cone of smoky glass. I realized that the object may be some form of optical problem with one of my eyes or something like that. To test if the object would move with my eye movement, I turned my head and eyes in the four directions, but the object stayed in the same relative position above me. It looked like energy was coming out of the earth.

The focal point of the energy of the lines was toward the center of the ring. The visual display was like energy waves traveling up from the ground looking much like the shape of the electrical waves traveling up pairs of rods in electrical exhibitions. The motion of the waves up was not uniform. It seemed as if the shape of the waves could be described using some analogies. If the cone shape resembled an igloo, the edges of the blocks would be the energy waves, making sort of a brick pattern. This part of the vision resembled a technological invention. I described this experience to a healer and he said that those beings could only maintain the size that they did because they could not make the full penetration into this reality.

The center of it was like a yellow sun the size of a pin head, but a dark ring surrounded the inner light. This ring object blocked out the sky in the background. Somehow I overcame my fear of the object and calmed my body before seeing the object expand to connect with the earth. A dark web-like structure stretched from the ground and connected to the dark ring. It looked like energy was being sucked out of the earth into the web structure. From my vantage point, it appeared as if the web-like structure formed a cone shape ending at the ring, but outside the web-like structure the world looked normal, that is, the sky looked normal. What I describe as tadpools or guppies appear as little balls of light with pointed tails, and they seem to be swimming in the web-like structure but not outside the structure. They moved slowly as if powered by their tails and as if they were feeding on the energy that was flowing from the earth. I tried to make telepathic contact with the light beings but they didn’t seem able or interested in communicating. The light at the center of the ring didn’t grow in size, and it didn’t respond to attempts at telepathic communication. I figured that if I was having religious visions with auditory effects, then maybe this unusually shaped object could also communicate. It reacted as if it wasn’t concerned that I could see it, but after I pointed to it with my hand it did make a slight move in position, but seemed unaffected by the actual position of my finger when I positioned my finger within an inch of the object. I got the impression that the object was investigating me, but just seeing it caused my body to tremble at first. I got used to the presence of the object and calmed myself and tried to analyze what I was seeing. It seemed strange that I would have religious visions mixed with a vision of some form of dimensional being. I wonder if they are connected? Why did this interdimensional UFO appear after having very significant visions? Did the saints, etc. warn us about these objects and are these objects friendly or not? The amount of energy transformation I experienced in the presence of the object was phenomenal. I felt partially paralyzed and had involuntary muscle contractions. I had an ominous feeling about the object but I also felt that it was only investigating me. Why the religious figures were absent during this part of the visionary experience is puzzling. Why would Jesus instruct me in prayer just before my experience with this energy object? It’s interesting that the blessed mother said that she will accompany us into outer space, as will the Lord God.

Since the visions at Pinto Lake, I have had no reoccurrence of that type of experience.
